Whereas the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, had last revised the minimum rates of wages in Scheduled Employments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 in the National Capital Territory of Delhi vide notification No. 12(142)/111MW/Lab/2023-47 dated 26.07.2011.

2. And whereas, in the abovementioned notification it was stipulated that the Dearness Allowance will be payable on the basis of six monthly average index numbers of January to June and July to December, on 1st April and October respectively.

3. And whereas, now, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi after adjustment of the average Consumer Price Index Number of the period from January 2016 to June 2016 which is 271.17, an increase of 4.34 points, hereby declares the following Dearness Allowance, which shall be payable for all categories w.e.f. 01.10.2016. The rates after including additional D.A. are as follows.

4. This following rates of minimum wages shall be applicable in respect of unskilled, semiskilled and skilled categories in all scheduled employments except employment in the establishments where the workers are given facilities of meals or lodging or both by the employer.

REVISED MINIMUM WAGES IN DELHI W.E.F. 1.10.2016

 

The Government of Goa revises the minimum rates of wages payable to the various categories of employees employed in various trades in the Scheduled employment, namely, “Employment in Saw Mills”, as enclosed in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE DATED 28-MAY-2015.

MINIMUM WAGES REVISED IN HARYANA

It is being informed that Government of Haryana has issued notification, in line with its press note released in print media few days thereby back putting at rest all speculations in relation to proposed increase in minimum rate of wages. Through this notification, certain additional conditions have also been imposed upon the employers for the very first time and few conditions of previous notification have been amended.

The State Govt. Punjab has issued letter No.23879 dated 04-10- 2016 wherein they have increased the minimum wages from 1-09- 2016 to the tune of Rs.248.04 and now minimum wages from 01-09- 2016 would be Rs.7458.56 and daily wager would get Rs.287.27 and hourly wages would be Rs.35.90. The revised rates of minimum wages from 1.9.2016 are as below:

O R D E R:-

In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have adapted the Andhra Pradesh Shops and Establishments Rules, 1990 to the State of Telangana.

  1. In the circumstances reported by the Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad in the letters 2nd & 3rd read above, Government after careful examination of the matter hereby decided to amend the Telangana Shops and Establishments Rules, 1990 and also to notify the revised rates of the fees.
  1. Accordingly, the following notification will be published in the Extraordinary Issue of the Telangana Gazette dated: 08.08.2016:-

 NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988, the Government of Telangana hereby makes the following amendment to the Telangana Shops and Establishments Rules, 1990”

 AMENDMENT

In the said rules,

  • In Schedule I of rule 3, the words and figures under column (3) shall be substituted with the following namely:-

“Rs.100, Rs.500, Rs.1000, Rs.2000, Rs.5000, Rs.10,000 and Rs.10000 + Rs.5000 for every additional 50 persons or part thereof for the number of persons exceeding 100”.

  • In Schedule II of rules 5 and 6, the words and figures “Rs.30.00, Rs.60.00”, under column (3) shall be substituted with the words and figures “Rs.100, Rs.200” respectively.
  • In Schedule III of rule 27,
  • the words and figures under column (3), against the entries 1, 2, 3 shall be substituted with the words and figures “Rs.50, Rs.100, Rs.50 subject to a maximum of Rs.1000”.
  • the words and figures under column (3), against the entries 4 and 5 shall be substituted with the words and figures “Rs.1000, Rs.20 adhesive Court Fee label” 
  1. In rule 26, sub-rule (2) for clause (iii), the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(iii) Pleader’s fee which shall be within the lower limit of Rs.1,000/- and upper limit of Rs.5,000/-.”
  1. For rule 27, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“27-Court-fees:- The court fees payable in respect of proceedings shall be as notified by the  Government from time to time :

Provided that the authority may, in consideration of the poverty of the applicant, reduce or remit this fee:

Provided further that no fee shall be chargeable in respect of an application presented by an inspector”.

  1. Rule 35 shall be omitted.

The employment of ‘Bakery’ includes ‘ Biscuit manufacturing units’ also as per clarification issued by the Labour Depatment, Govt. of W. B.
